Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on this website and what they do. For how we use the personal data collected through our form, see our privacy policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use comparable browser storage (such as localStorage) for the same purposes described below.

First-party marketing attribution cookies

When you land on this site we set first-party wml_* cookies to record how you arrived, so that if you request a quote we can attribute it correctly. These store marketing attribution values only — the UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, term and content), advertising click identifiers (such as Google or Meta ad click IDs) and the landing page URL. They have a 90-day expiry and are set to our own domain.

CookiePurposeExpiry
wml_utm_source, wml_utm_medium, wml_utm_campaign, wml_utm_term, wml_utm_contentRecord the campaign that referred you, for quote attribution90 days
wml_gclid, wml_fbc, wml_fbp and similarStore advertising click identifiers so a quote can be attributed to the correct ad90 days
wml_landing_urlRecord the first page you arrived on90 days

Tag manager and analytics cookies

We may enable a tag manager and analytics (for example Google Analytics) in future. When active, these set their own cookies — such as _ga and _ga_* for analytics, and any advertising cookies you consent to. These are not active until tagging is switched on, at which point this policy and any consent controls will be updated to reflect them.

Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking our first-party attribution cookies will not stop the site working, but may mean a quote request is not attributed to the campaign that referred you.
